Student Portfolios
This year we will be creating an ongoing portfolio of work we do in class. Portfolios are a way to show learning and growth over time, but they will take some time to cultivate. We will spend time throughout the year working on them.
Below is a copy of the rubric that will be used to grade your portfolio at the end of the year. I have also included a link to my "sample" portfolio so you can get some ideas about what the portfolio should look like. |
Some important things to remember about your personal learning portfolio:
-This is a unique reflection of YOUR work. I want you to personalize your site as much as possible so that it reflects you. -Take PRIDE in your work. What you place in your portfolio will be displayed for the public to see. So do work that you are excited to show the world. -You must include the following "artifacts" in your portfolio: 1) At least 3 poems 2) At least 2 essays 3) At least 1 video project 4) A link to your Kidblog 5) Written or video reflections of your growth and learning throughout the year. 6) Any additional work you have done this year that you are proud of (PicCollages, posters, visual aids for your speeches, etc.) |
