Group Projects
You will be placed into groups based on your answers to the survey I emailed out at the beginning of this unit.
What you'll be doing: You and your group will be creating a presentation on your assigned culture.
Your group project will consist of four parts:
Part 1: Give background information on your assigned culture.
-You should answer: Who, Where, When, What (were they like)
(20 pts)
Part 2: Present your assigned culture's creation myth.
-You could read it out loud, or get creative and make a video to go along with it. Think about how your classmates will learn it best.
(15 pts)
Part 3: Answer the question: "How did this myth influence the culture of these people?"
-You MUST provide THREE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES to support your answer to this question.
(30 pts)
Part 4: Provide sources: you should have a Works Cited page at the end of your presentation.
(5 pts)
You will be graded on all 4 of these criteria. This project is worth 80 points, total.
Due dates: We will present these projects on April 13th.
Other important notes:
-Each student will complete a group evaluation at the end of this project. This will provide students with an opportunity to indicate whether or not everyone did their fair share of work. You will receive an individual grade based on these evaluation results.
-Other groups will take notes on each presentation. After each one, you should be able to write at least 3 things that you learned.
