Creative Responses to Literature
-Create a detailed sketch of the climactic scene.
-Rework the story as a graphic novel.
-Create a video in which you reenact the climactic scene, or the whole story.
-Create a trailer for the movie of this story.
-You can do this in iMovie, or on GoAnimate
-Do a character study of the story’s characters and visually represent them: What qualities do they possess? What are their likes/dislikes? What do they look like (describe them and draw a picture)?
-Create a “How-To” manual, with clear descriptions and illustrations, about something in the story. (Examples: in “Raymond’s Run,” how to be a good runner; or in “Retrieved Reformation,” how to crack a safe, or become reformed as a criminal)
-Write a test or quiz about this story to give to classmates. Think about: what should someone have learned from and about this story? What kinds of knowledge would you want them to have? What kinds of questions could you ask to see what they know?
-Create a fake movie poster
-Create an Instagram account for one of the characters in the story.
-Here are some ideas on how to do it:

-Create a board game based on the events of the story.
-Rework the story as a video game (or the concept of a video game).

-If this story was made into a movie, what songs would be included in the soundtrack? What order would they go in? Create the musical accompaniment to this story. Explain why you chose each song and where in the story it should go.
-If this story was made into a movie, who would be the actors and actresses in it? Who would direct it? Explain why each actor/actress would be the best person for the role. What about them (e.g., physical traits, personality, past roles, reputation, etc.) makes them perfect for each role?
-Write a series of diary entries for a character (each entry should be at least a paragraph). Write from the perspective and point of view of this single character. Think of these entries as a place for the character to think out loud and work out his emotions in the privacy of a diary. What would he/she be thinking about? What kind of advice might he want or need?
